Info: Longtime recital and chamber music partners violinist Livia Sohn and pianist Bernadene Blaha offer a program of very special repertoire that explores a wide range of color, drama, and emotion. Starting with the warm lyricism of Respighi, to the fiery showmanship of Ravel’s mix of Hungarian rhapsodies and French impressionist flair, to Shostakovich’s stark, searing, and raw Violin Sonata. This program traces a striking emotional arc for violin and piano, moving between lyrical beauty, virtuosic fire, and deep introspection.
